Louann Oellermann, 76, of Frisco, TX passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 12, 2026. She was born on October 24, 1949, outside of Fillmore, MO to Merrill O. and Helen (Hurst) Karr.
She graduated from Savannah High School in 1967 and continued her education with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education at Northwest Missouri State University in 1971 and a Masters in Special Education at East Texas A&M University in 1985. Louann loved working with her students, continuing to tutor after retirement through her final days. She also enjoyed working in her garden, reading and decorating her home (you always knew what season or holiday it was at her house!), and spending time with her friends and family at every opportunity.
Louann is survived by her children William Jr. (Mary) Oellermann, Brad (Chelsie) Oellermann, and Brian (Brittany) Oellermann all in the Dallas area. She cherished her role as Nana Lou to 8 grandchildren – Lauren, Sarah, Brooks, Carlisle, Bennett, Brianna, Brooklyn, and Briley. She is also survived by her siblings, Merrill Dean and Danny Karr, 6 nieces and nephews and several cousins and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister-in-laws’ Sharon and Pat Karr.
Memorial Services will be held at Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire Dr, Frisco, TX 75033, on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 3 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to either the Learning Disabilities Association of Texas (https://ldatx.org/donate/) or Alzheimer’s Texas (https://www.txalz.org/donate/), two causes that were important to Louann.
