Lorraine Helen Planey of Plano, Texas passed away on January 27, 2020 at the age of 83 and she will be greatly missed by all. She was born on September 15, 1936 to Frank Joseph and Helen Eisenbach in Brooklyn New York. She graduated from the Girl's Commercial High School in Brooklyn in 1954. She moved to Mountain Top, Pennsylvania and met the love of her life Bill Planey at RCA where she worked as a secretary. They married in 1961 and celebrated their 58th anniversary last year. They moved many times over the years as Bill pursued his career. They moved from Mountain Top, Pennsylvania to Phoenix and Tempe, Arizona to Dallas and Corpus Christi, Texas, Eatontown, New Jersey, and then finally back to the Dallas area. They were members of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dallas where they met lifelong friends. She was active in the women’s circle, the women’s bowling league and involved in numerous volunteer activities. They joined St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church after moving to Plano in 1999.
Lorraine was a devoted and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend. She loved her family, her friends, and her church. Her greatest joy and pleasures in life were being with her children & grandchildren along with the many family gatherings. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s school and sporting events, bowling, sewing and playing games with family.
She is survived by her beloved family: husband, Bill Planey of Plano, Texas; son, Bill Planey and wife, Masha of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Annette Planey of Plano, Texas; daughter, Jackie Martin and husband, Ken of Grapevine, Texas; son, Doug Planey and wife, Misty of Allen, Texas; daughter, Jennifer Moll and husband, Justin of Orlando, Florida; sister, Helen Balliet of Marion, New York; sister, Marian Burrell of Mountain Top, Pennsylvania; brother, Tom Eisenbach and wife, Sally of Mountain Top, Pennsylvania; grandsons, Alexander Martin, William Planey, Andrew Martin, Zachary Planey, and Michael Loukoshkov; granddaughters, Adrienne Martin, Ava Planey, Malane Planey, Makenna Planey, and Liza Pavlova; and a host of other loving family and friends.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Helen Eisenbach; brother, Frank Eisenbach Jr.; and sister, Ann Alberti.
Her generous heart and positive attitude will be missed and forever remembered by those who knew her. The love she shared, and received, is a love that will never end. For that we are all grateful.
A Holy Rosary will be recited Friday, February 7, at 10:30 AM. The Funeral mass will be held at 11:30 AM, followed by the committal service in the columbarium at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 1201 Alma Drive, Plano, Texas 75075. A reception will follow in the Parish Center across the street at 1105 West 15th Street, Plano, Texas, 75075.
