Lorraine Joanne Maloney of Frisco, Texas passed away January 7, 2015 at the age of 94. She was born September 21, 1920 to Walter and Hildegard (Opitz) Voisinet in Ithaca, New York. Lorraine grew up in Buffalo, New York and graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor degree. She worked at Curtis Wright where she was the head dietician during World War II. While raising her son, Lorraine was active at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Parish in Glenview, Illinois then worked as a registrar at Kendall College in Evanston, Illinois. She was also a consultant for Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority at Northwestern University. Lorraine enjoyed gardening, playing bridge, was an avid golfer and was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Plano, Texas
Lorraine is survived by her son, Mike Maloney and wife Alicia of Frisco, Texas; grandsons, John L. Maloney and his fiancé Melinda also of Frisco, Matt Maloney of Plano, Texas and Brad Maloney of Frisco; great-grandchildren, Hope Bell, Alexis Bell, Zackary Bell, Lauran Maloney, Kaitlin Maloney and Courtney Maloney (Jenifer Maloney, girls mother); nieces and nephews, Susan, Debbie, Paula, Jim, Sarah, Anne, Kathy, Peggy, Molly and Moira.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Walter and James Voisinet and nephew, Wally Voisinet.
A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2700 Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, Texas 75023. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the memorial mass at the church. The rosary will begin at 10:00 a.m.
