Lori Merritt, age 61, of Dallas, Texas passed away at home on January 7, 2023. She was born May 10, 1961 in Norman, Oklahoma to Richard and Cynthia Merritt.

Lori grew up in Texas where she loved her time living in Austin, also living in Houston, Plano- where she attended high school, and Dallas. Lori’s passion was designing and creating jewelry and connecting with family and friends. She loved her cats and made sure they were comfortable and well taken care of.

Lori was extremely smart, and she had a very compassionate soul. She would often put the needs of others before her own.

Lori will be remembered by her son, Andrew Merritt of Dallas, Texas; sister, Cindy Bagley and husband, Randy of Conroe, Texas; brother, Brian Merritt of Wylie, Texas; brother, Keith Merritt and wife, Carole of Parker, Texas; nieces and nephews, Angela and Rob Villa of Conroe, Texas, Rachel and Luke Masters of Huntsville, Texas, Amber Hambrick and husband, John of Wylie, Texas, Jonathan and Jessica Merritt of Fate, Texas, Elisa and Adam Peabody of Lake Dallas, Texas, and Courtney Keel of Allen, Texas; aunt and uncle, Sharon and Allen Parker of Enid, Oklahoma; numerous cousins, and many other loving family and friends.

Lori was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Cynthia Merritt, and grandparents, Dewey Ellis and Vera Alice (Chalfont) Kincannon, and Elmer and Hazel (Porter) Merritt.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 20, 2023 at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.
