Lori Ann Patterson passed away February 22, 2016 at her home in Richardson, TX. She was born in Topeka, Kansas on July 19, 1961, to Melvin and Maxine Patterson.
A 1979, graduate of Highland Park High School in Topeka, she was a member of Scot Singers and inducted into the National Honor Society. During her time at Washburn University she danced as part of the Washburn Dance Company.
She sailed with Princess Cruise Lines where she conducted shore tours. While in Italy during the 1992, Barcelona Olympic Games, the cruise ships served as extensions of the Olympic hotels and her duties included guided tours of the city. Her time with Princess took her to Russia, Greece, Alaska and the Caribbean.
On her return to Dallas she joined Cingular Wireless that became a part of AT&T where she was currently the Sr. Business Manager in the Roamer Audit team. Lori was working toward joining her two sisters in retirement in the next few years.
Her varied interests included time spent with her photography, travels with her girlfriends, gardening, and home improvements and spoiling her two “kids”.
Lori’s life revolved around her family, her two four-legged babies, Blaze and Louis and her large circle of friends and co-workers.
She is survived by doxie love, Louis; parents, Melvin and Maxine Patterson; sister, Vickie Patterson Sudduth and her daughters, Courtney (Corey) Starnes and Chelsey Sudduth; sister, Valerie Patterson and her daughter, Simone; brother, Melvin Jr. and wife Tammi and their daughter Makenzi of Avondale, AZ. Lori welcomed her first great-niece Camryn and was excited about the pending arrival of great-nephew Christian this summer.
She was preceded in death by her beloved dachshund, Blaze.
A memorial service for Lori will be held 5:00 p.m., Saturday, March 5, 2016 at New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Fellowship Hall, 2801 S.E. Indiana Ave, Topeka, KS. A memorial service to be held in Dallas, Texas for Lori’s friends and ATT co-workers is pending.
