Loretta Sims of McKinney, Texas passed away December 27, 2021 at the age of 67.  She was born on May 14, 1954 to Dr. Jerry Lee Sims and Janet Marie (Guthrie) Sims in Dallas, Texas.   Loretta attended and graduated from McKinney High School in 1973.  She worked for McKinney Boyd High School for many years.  Loretta attended Trinity Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir.  She was an avid reader.  She loved cheering on the University of Texas Longhorns and she most loved anything Elvis.  Loretta owned many precious items of Elvis memorabilia.  She will be remembered most by her family for her laugh.  Loretta has a great laugh that truly showed off her enthusiasm.

She is survived by her brother, Charles “Ed” Sims and wife, Cyndi of Kennesaw, Georgia; nephew, Jared Sims and wife, Taylor of Canton, Georgia; niece, Alisa Phillips and husband, Josh of Kennesaw, Georgia; great nephew, Cayden Sims of Canton, Georgia; great niece, Charie Phillips of Kennesaw, Georgia; great nephew, Declan Sims of Canton, Georgia; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Janet Sims.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, January 3, 2022 at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney, Texas.
