Loretta Ann Echavarria, 60, of Frisco, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2025, at her home with her loving husband, Ron, and family by her side. She was born on August 19, 1964, in Los Angeles, California.
Loretta was a devoted and faithful woman, raised in the church where she had the privilege of watching her grandfather serve as a Pastor. From a young age, she was known for her kindness and caring nature. She grew up living with her mother and stepfather on an Army base in California, and it was there that her passion for life and desire to see the world took root. After graduating from high school, Loretta joined the United States Air Force in 1986, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey. Stationed in Korea, she worked in a classified reconnaissance film unit, where she met her future husband, Ron Senior. Their love story began quickly, and within two months of meeting, they were married—a bond that lasted 38 years.
Together, Loretta and Ron raised four wonderful children and were blessed with four grandchildren. Before retiring in the state of Texas, a place she had always dreamed of living. Loretta had a fulfilling career, including several years with Cal Fire, a managerial position at a police/fire uniform center, and an eventual role as an INS analyst in California.
Throughout her life, Loretta’s love for her children, family, and the Lord was unwavering. Her devotion to her family was evident in every aspect of her life. She gave everything she had to ensure her children knew they were loved and cherished. No request, no need, no meal was ever overlooked. Her selflessness and boundless care extended not only to her family but also to her friends and loved ones. As she fought bravely against cancer, it was the memories of time spent with her family and the love they shared that sustained her until her passing.
Loretta will be deeply missed, but her memory and love will forever live on in the hearts of all those she loved and those who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Ron Echavarria Sr.; sons, Ron Echavarria Jr., Michael Echavarria, and James Echavarria; daughter, Frani Echavarria and her husband, all of Texas; granddaughters, Lilliana McFarland, Cecilia Echavarria, and Camilla Echavarria; grandson, Vincenzo Echavarria; and a host of other loving family members and cherished friends.
Loretta was preceded in death by her mother, Hortencia Uzzle; brother, Nathaniel Uzzle; and sister, Arlene Payan.
