Esther Lorene Parmelee, age 81, of Frisco, Texas, passed away on March 10, 2022. She was born on March 8, 1941, to Lanie Elizabeth (Shelton) and Denver Carlton Hughes in Letona, Arkansas. On July 16, 1960, Lorene married Nyle Leon Parmelee in Kensett, Arkansas. Lorene was Homemaker, educator and Organist-Choirmaster for the old Semper Fidelis Chapel Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Parris Island. She was a member of Stonebriar Community church in Frisco. Lorene was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
Lorene is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Nyle Parmelee of Frisco, Texas; her two daughters, Lana Parmelee of Frisco, Texas, Cynthia Franklin and her husband, William E. of Frisco, Texas; her grandson, Aaron Franklin and his wife, Danielle; her granddaughter, Lyndall Franklin; her sister, Mary Ellis and her husband, Omer of Magnolia, Texas; her brother, Leon Hughes of Beekman, Louisiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lorene was preceded in death by her three sisters, Mabel Polk, Virginia Miller, Clara McKoin; her brother, Olan Hughes; and her parents, Lanie and Denver Hughes.
