Loren Gene McPherson, age 79, of Frisco, Texas, passed away March 30, 2022. Loren was born June 10, 1942, in Bellaire, Michigan, to C. Merton and Pearl Neva (Sheneman) McPherson. He spent his childhood picking apples and cherries on his father’s farm. Loren liked animals and always had a dog. He graduated from high school in Bellaire and was an active alumnus. Loren proudly served in the United States Navy for twenty years and retired with a rank of ETC. He was a Chief of electronics technician on a submarine. Following the Navy, Loren graduated from National University in San Diego, California with a bachelor’s degree in electronics and went on to complete a master’s degree in communication. Loren was a lifetime Mason, 3rd degree. He enjoyed watching television, playing golf, and current events in politics.
He is survived by his wife, Mary McPherson; grandson, Dillon McPherson; granddaughter, Ashleigh Fisher; grandson, William Taylor; and brothers, Claire McPherson and Charles Kirt.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Karen Jean Taylor, and son, William Loren McPherson.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 8, 2022, at Little Elm Cemetery in Little Elm, Texas.
