IN LOVING MEMORY

Lloyd Everett Stelljes

May 11 1938 - Aug 04 2020

Lloyd Everett Stelljes of Vian, Oklahoma passed away while recovering from an illness in McKinney, Texas on August 4, 2020 at the age of 82.  He was born on May 11, 1938 to Edwin and Vivian (Wallace) Stelljes in Linn, Kansas.  Lloyd proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.  He married Ruth Ann (Roberts) Stelljes on October 5, 1958 in Osborne, Kansas. Lloyd and Ruth lived in Kansas for 5 years before moving to Tulsa. While in Tulsa, Lloyd joined American Airlines and was in purchasing for 24 years. LLoyd and Ruth spent 39 years residing in Tulsa before his retirement. Lloyd and Ruth had a true love for the outdoors and spending time outside. This prompted their move to Lake Tenkiller upon Lloyd’s retirement from American Airlines. Lloyd opened his business, LS Builders, which he owned for 22 years. He built metal buildings for a number of customers all over the US. In their free time, Lloyd and Ruth spent a lot of time camping, riding their motorcycle, and boating. Lloyd and Ruth travelled the country in their RV to spend as much time as they could in nature. They also had a love for car racing and spent many nights at the racetracks. Lloyd and Ruth made a number of lasting relationships in their time around the lake, which they are forever grateful for. Lloyd always looked forward to Tuesday nights as he and his band members (Timekiller Band) rehearsed and played their favorite songs.  Sometimes, they even went on the road and performed at various events around the lake.

Lloyd is survived by his Daughter, Sandra Baxter of McKinney, Texas; Son David Stelljes and his wife Laurie of Fort Worth, Texas; Grand-Children, Nicholas Stelljes and his wife Maribel of Long Beach, California; Alexander Stelljes of Chicago, Illinois; Olivia Carlin and her husband Doug of Little Elm, Texas;  Abbey Cislo and her husband Adam of McKinney, Texas; and Samuel Baxter of Dallas, Texas and Great-Granddaughter, Jeanna Stelljes of Long Beach California; sister Betty Kupcho and husband, John of Florence, Arizona; and numerous other loving family and friends and his loving cat Tuxi.
