Lloyd Wayne Baxter

August 25, 1937 - March 22, 2019

Lloyd Wayne Baxter of Anna, Texas passed away on March 22, 2019 at the age of 81.  He was born on August 25, 1937 to Harold Foster and Vivian Gertrude (Renfrow) Baxter in McKinney, Texas.  Lloyd married Aletta Faye Tallant on June 16, 1962 in Princeton, Texas.  He was a member of the Presbyterian Faith.

Lloyd is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Aletta Baxter of Anna, Texas; son, Michael Hunter and wife Lynda of McAlester, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Cody Hunter, Denver Hunter and wife, Leslie, Tyler Hunter and wife, Chelsea and Corey Hunter and wife, Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Wylie Hunter, Kyleigh Nicole Hunter and Emma Grace Hunter; sister, Freida Rose and husband, Bobby of McKinney, Texas; great-niece, Courtney Lyons Bertrand; great-great-nephews, Brendon Lansford, Connor Lansford, Andrew Bertrand, Trace John Lansford and Mack Harmon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Dorothy Baxter; his daughter, Cindy Baxter; his brother, Clifford Baxter; and his sister, Wannella Fowler.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March, 28, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.  Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen.  The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

My prayers are with you aunt Aletta. He was a good man, that I had nothing but the most respect and admiration for. The time I spent with y’all as a young man are some of my fondest memories. He will truly be missed. Love always, Jamie
