Lionel Joseph "Joe" Nerwich

February 3, 1931 - June 10, 2021

Joe Nerwich passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at the age of 90. He was born on February 3, 1931 to Joseph Lionel Nerwich and Frances Lea Nerwich in San Diego, California. 

He married Johnnie (Shipley) Nerwich on August 31, 1951, in Wichita Falls, Texas. They had 3 children together: Kay, William “Bill” and John Nerwich. Johnnie Nerwich passed away on May 3, 2009.

He later married Diane Carrington on March 31, 2012, in Farmersville, Texas.

Joe is survived by his 2 children: Kay Washington of McKinney, Texas, John Nerwich and wife Kay of Farmersville, Texas, wife, Diane Carrington of Dallas, Texas, step daughter, Angela Carrington and husband Dennis of Dallas, Texas. He is also survived by his grandson Ryan Nerwich and Callie of Farmersville, Texas, great grandchildren: Brooklin, Harley, Colt and Brody all of Farmersville, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Johnnie Nerwich and son, Bill Nerwich.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 from 6-8PM at Hurst’s Fielder-Baker Funeral Home. The Funeral service will be Saturday, June 12, 2021 at The First Baptist Church of Farmersville at 10:30AM. A burial will follow the funeral services at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Farmersville, Texas.

Officiating the services will be Dr. Bart Barber.

John & Kay and Kay, So sorry to hear about your dad passing. Such a sweet video you shared about his life - plenty of loving memories for you to hold on to until you see each other again.
