Linda Lee (Peeples) Hornish, of Kenner, Louisiana, passed from this life peacefully in her sleep, with a beautiful smile on her face, on March 24, 2020 at the age of 71, at her current home in Killeen, Texas.

Linda was born on June 6, 1948 to the union of Roy Chester Peoples and Joyce Lee (Key) Shepherd in Leander, Texas.  Linda married Allen Robert Hornish in New Orleans, Louisiana on January 25, 1977, soon to take up residence in Kenner, Louisiana, where they lived for over 30 years.  Linda loved life, traveling, beach outings, but first and foremost, her family. She was always filled with laughter and had a smile on her face.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Linda is survived by two daughters, Brenda Ann (Morgan) Wetzel and husband Lew of Harker Heights, Texas and Elizabeth Ellen (Hornish) Arnold and husband Patrick of Celina, Texas;  two sisters, Jeanne Stephens and Tommye Goldstein; half-siblings, Mary, Don, Chrissy, Roy, Jr., Pauline, Caroline, Christine and David; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and loving friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Chester Peeples and Joyce Lee (Key) Shephard; her loving husband Allen Robert Hornish; her first husband, Wayne Lee Morgan; two children, John David Hornish and Laura Lynn Morgan; her sister Anita Faye; and two half-sisters Jan and Darlene.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints; she loved her home-visits with her missionaries. 

A private memorial will be held at the Dallas-Fort Worth National VA Cemetery in Dallas, Texas where she will be laid to rest with her late husband, Allen Hornish.
