Linda Jane Martinson

March 2, 1939 - July 27, 2020

Linda Jane Martinson of McKinney, Texas passed away on July 27, 2020 at the age of 81. She was born on March 2, 1939 to Rex Livingston and Miriam Frances (Conn) Webb in Rome, Georgia.  Linda graduated from Shades Valley High School in 1957.  She earned a Bachelor of Speech Therapy from the University of Alabama.  Linda worked as a speech therapist in Birmingham, Alabama as well as in Dallas ISD, Garland ISD, and Princeton ISD.  She enjoyed genealogy, church activities and was an avid reader.  Linda loved University of Alabama football.   She was a member of Christ Fellowship Church, McKinney, Texas.

She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Banks and husband, Bill of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Ryan Banks of McKinney, Texas, Sarah Banks and husband, Whit Oyler of Denver, Colorado; brother, Rex Webb, Jr. and wife, Jackie of Birmingham, Alabama; niece, Heather Webb; the Walters Family; and numerous other loving family and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Rex and Frances Webb.

A “come and go” visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing.

In support of our local, state, and federal govt including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only 100 guests will be allowed to attend the Funeral Service.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas, and will also be live streamed on the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Facebook page and a recorded video will be available following the funeral service on Linda’s obituary page.

Mrs. Banks, Continued prayers for you and the family! Brianna Williams, August 1, 2020 Linda was such a dear friend of mine. We had many memories shared between us in our single days . Good and some weren’t so good but we laughed and cried together. She was gifted with such a great memory and never forgot a face or name. I will always remember and love her.
