Linda Faye Allen Galbraith, 78, of McKinney, Texas, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, August 20,2021 at her home surrounded by family. She was born October 30, 1942 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas to Walter and Claudia Allen. Linda graduated from Pawhuska High School in Osage County, Oklahoma and was a proud alumni of Oklahoma State University. Linda married her "dear one", Charles Arthur Galbraith on February 14, 1964. Linda always wanted to be a good mom and to Chris, Amy and Stephen, she was THE BEST! She was a homemaker, community volunteer and active member of First Baptist Church McKinney. She taught first grade at Greer, Caldwell and Wolford Elementary schools for MISD and earned the title of "teaching maniac" from her students. She poured her heart into teaching children to read, write and be independent thinkers. She loved her seven grandchildren earnestly and was always teaching and cheering them on in any endeavor they pursued. After a time of mountain living, she and Charles relocated back to McKinney and were active members of Crosspoint Church. Linda loved having coffee on the porch, visiting with neighbors & friends, sappy old movies, old houses, Wheel of Fortune competitions with grandkids, traveling, the Rocky Mountains and flowers, lots & lots of flowers.
She is survived by her brother, Eddie Allen of Iowa City, IA; son, Christian Galbraith & wife, Gina of New Orleans, LA; daughter, Amy Campbell & husband, Scott of Allen, TX; son, Stephen Galbraith & wife, Kelly of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Dylan, Colby, Madeline, Claudia, Jack, Joshua & Jane.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Walter & Claudia Allen; brothers, Richard & Hunter Allen; and husband, Charles A. Galbraith.
