Linda Taniko Zamora of Fairview, Texas passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025 at the age of 89. She was born on February 7, 1936, the beloved daughter of Seiichi Nagasaki and Ume Nakamizu in Kagoshima, Japan.
On July 1, 1955 Linda married the love of her life - Benito Zamora. Together, they built a life centered around love, family, and tradition. A devoted homemaker, Linda dedicated herself to creating a warm and welcoming home.
Linda was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her kindness and grace touched all who knew her. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all whose lives she enriched. Linda found great joy in hosting family events, bringing together generations with food, laughter, and stories. Her home was a place where everyone gathered and felt cherished.
Linda is survived by her older sister, Sayoko Nakamizu of Japan; younger brother, Eiichi Nagasaki also of Japan; sons, Rudy Zamora and Kiso Zamora (Rhonda); daughters, Tita Coffin (Dan) and Zina Zamora; nephews, Thomas Haveman (Yoli), nieces, Kimiko Barling (Paul), Nina Stephens, and Kay Haveman; nine grandchildren, Stacy Edge, Tanya Rutledge, Jason Soto (Tristan), Kris Rutledge, Jason Zamora, Jeremy Soto, Tiffany Zamora, Jen Murphy (Tyler), Zachary Zamora (Crystal); twelve great-grandchildren and a host of other loving family and friends.
A special part of Linda’s life was the deep and enduring bond she shared with her sister, Judy (Seiko) Haveman, and her lifelong best friend, Sadako Brandenburg. Linda and Sadako's friendship began in their early years in Japan. Their connection only grew stronger over the decades, continuing after they both moved to the United States. Through every stage of life, their unwavering friendship remained a source of comfort, strength, and meaning for Linda.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benito Zamora; parents, and sister, Judy Haveman.
