Linda Marie Bustos, a resident of Allen, Texas, passed away on February 26, 2024, at the age of 63. She was born on April 23, 1960, to Alejandro Bruno and Lavinia (Torres) Bruno in Chicago, Illinois, Linda's journey was one of love, dedication, and unwavering kindness.
At the age of 14, Linda's family relocated to Elsa, Texas, where she spent her formative years. In 1978, she proudly graduated from high school, marking the beginning of a life filled with love and purpose. It was during this time that Linda's path crossed with her beloved husband, Carlos. Their love story, sparked by conversations among friends and family, blossomed into a beautiful journey that led them to exchange vows on May 27, 1978, in Donna, Texas.
Together, Linda and Carlos embarked on the adventure of parenthood, welcoming their children David, Chris, and Vanessa into the world. Settling in Plano, Texas, and later making Allen their home, Linda dedicated herself to nurturing her family with boundless love and support.
Professionally, Linda's career was marked by her passion for helping others. Starting as a clerk, she worked her way up to become a Human Resources Benefit Manager for Cal's, touching the lives of many with her guidance and compassion. Her professional journey also saw her contributions to various industries, including tech startups, the milk and food sectors, and retail, always striving to learn and lend a helping hand wherever she could.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Linda's true joy came from being a pillar of support to her family and friends. Known for her wise advice, unwavering honesty, and willingness to speak her mind, Linda earned the admiration and love of all who crossed her path. Her involvement with her church life began at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in 1981, and continued with St. Jude Catholic Church in 1990, showcasing her devotion to her faith and community.
Linda will be remembered as the epitome of sweetness, embodying kindness, warmth, and generosity in all she did. Her legacy of unconditional love and selflessness will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched. Linda leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will be cherished for generations to come. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to have known her.

Linda is survived by her beloved husband, Carlos Bustos of Allen, Texas; sons, Joseph David Bustos and wife, Myriam of Anna, Texas and Christopher Michael Bustos and wife, Ashley of Little Elm, Texas; daughter, Vanessa Bustos Sanchez and husband, Danny of Allen, Texas; grandchildren, Christian, Victoria, Jocelyn, Sofia, Cora, Isabel, Taylor, Meagan, Alexandria, And Xavier; great-grandchildren, Aayden, Amila, and Atzi; and numerous other loving family and cherished friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral mass will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 1, 2023 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1515 North Greenville Avenue, Allen, Texas 75002 where her memory will be honored, and her spirit will continue to shine bright. Following the service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013 for a committal service.
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday afternoon from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Rosary service will begin at 6:00 p.m.
