Linda Lee Hubbs Monks

Linda Lee Hubbs Monks of McKinney, Texas passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 1, 2016, she was only 68.  Linda was born in San Francisco, California on April 15, 1948 to Bill and Katherine Hubbs.  She met Roderick Alan Monks whom she wed in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Linda was an avid reader, loved to watch historical documentaries, and loved to paint.  She would often be found sitting in her chair snuggling with her beloved poodle, Sugar.  Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, whether it was over a good meal, watching movies, or even sporting events on Sundays.  Although she loved the beach, she moved to Texas to be closer to her only grandchild, Jordan.  She said that she was not going to watch her granddaughter grow up through pictures.

Linda and Roderick (who preceded her in death) are survived by two daughters, Dawn Lorraine Monks-Hoffmeister, husband John Hoffmeister of McKinney, Texas and April Katherine Monks Polocek, husband Michael Polocek, and granddaughter, Jordan Elizabeth Polocek, of Allen, Texas.  She is also survived by sisters Penny Streeter, DeeDee Axelrod, and brother Allen Hubbs, of Southern California, as well as numerous other loving family and friends.

A memorial service in honor of Linda’s life will be held at 4:00pm, Friday, December 9, 2016, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen Texas. A reception will be held immediately following the memorial service at Nine Band.
