Linda L. Powell Parr of Allen, Texas peacefully passed away on December 10, 2016 at the age of 64, surrounded by her family. She was born on October 7, 1952 to Hubert H. and Rubie Vivian (Kinsey) Powell in Dallas, Texas. Linda was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, mother to her daughters and “Gangan” to her grandchildren. She owned her own cleaning business for over 30 years. Linda was well known in the Dallas and Collin County area for her generosity and quality of work. She loved hosting and planning events and parties for family and friends. Linda always enjoyed bringing everyone together and was the heart and soul of the family. She was an avid Christian and will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends!
Linda is survived by her father, Hubert H. Powell of Allen; daughters, Tammy Verver and husband, Freddy of McKinney, Tina Nettleton of Dallas; grandchildren, Kinsey McCloud of McKinney, Blake and Luke Nettleton of Dallas; brothers, Richard Powell of Whitewright, Ed Powell of Blue Ridge; sister, Bonita Hancock of Allen; brother-in-law, Wayne Cruthis of Conroe; and numerous loving nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Rubie Powell; grandson, Lane McCloud; sister, Joyce Cruthis; and brother-in-law, Anthony Hancock.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2016 at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation one hour prior to the service at the graveside.
