Linda Causey 73, Celeste, Texas was born February 18, 1948, in Greenville, Texas as the daughter of Newell A. Burnett and Lela Mozelle Wade Burnett. She is one of four daughters.

Linda graduated from Celeste High School 1966 following graduation she married Billy Don Causey November 11, 1966, in Floyd, Texas.

She worked for First Bank Celeste 35 ½ years until she decided to retire to take her pride and joy, her only grandson Dalton McGee to ALL his extracurricular activities including but not limited to football, power lifting and track. She attended every event with Dalton and his closest friends Mackey, Abel, Junior, in tow. It was not unusual for heads to turn as a very diverse group of young men of different ethnicities calling her Me- maw and asking for money for the concession stand.

She is preceded in death by her husband Billy Don Causey May 30, 2019, and her longtime companion of 20 years Myron Methvin and her parents Newell and Mozelle Burnett.

She is survived by her only daughter Amanda McGee and husband, Michael of Ladonia; one and only grandson Dalton McGee and wife, Alyssa; three sisters Glenda Burnett, Brenda Chennault and husband Dale, all of Celeste, Pat McCorstin and husband Ben of Garland; four nieces, Lynn, Lisa, Lori Charisse; one nephew, Joshua; eight great nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held 6-8pm Saturday July 31, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Leonard, Texas. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM, Sunday, Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Leonard, Texas. Interment will follow at Hogeye Celeste Cemetery.
