Linda Kay Black of Prosper, Texas passed away on March 19, 2018 at the age of 59. She was born on September 13, 1958 to Sam and Addie (Simmons) Black in Odessa, Texas. Linda’s hobbies were refurbishing designer purses, reading and traveling. She loved her family and cherished those special moments. Linda was a person that cared for everyone over the years and never forgot your birthday, regardless of who she encountered. She was a member of Elevate Life Church.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Amber Roberson and husband, Christopher of Prosper, Texas; grandchildren, Kara Roberson and Elijah Roberson; sisters, Darlene Black of Odessa, Texas; Lorene Gildon and husband, Rufus of Odessa, Texas, Rhonda Black of Odessa, Texas, Sharon Blake and husband Lorin of Arlington, Texas, Aretha Black of Grand Prairie, Texas and Addie Black of Odessa, Texas; brothers, Sam Black and wife, Carolyn of Odessa, Texas, Edward Black and wife, Meshell of Odessa, Texas and Vernon Black of Odessa, Texas; and numerous other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Wayne Black.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Wear Cemetery in Prosper, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013
