Linda Joyce (Harrelson) Warrington transitioned to be with God on June 6, 2021, following a seven month long illness. Linda was born in Sherman, Texas on December 31, 1942 to William Gideon Harrelson and Mary Florentine (Gentry) Harrelson, both of whom preceded her in death in 2002. Linda had no siblings.

Linda is survived by her husband of 62 years, John Darrell Warrington, her daughter, Tisa Warrington Austin and son-in-law James Darrell Austin, daughter, Kayla Warrington Puckett, and son William Shawn Warrington and his long-time partner, Trisha Painter. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Derek, Jacob and Jessica Austin, and her husband, Garrett Stinchcomb, Shannon Frazier, and Brett and Paige Puckett.

Linda and Darrell both grew up in Whitewright, Texas and upon marrying in 1958, moved to California where Darrell was stationed while in the U.S. Navy. Following discharge in 1962, the family returned to Texas and settled in Garland, Texas, where they remained since, active in family life, church, the kids’ school and sports activities, and social activities with friends and family.

Linda will be greatly missed by her family.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at Oak Hill Cemetery in Whitewright, Texas on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 1:00 pm. Chaplain Stanley Joseph will officiate. Hebrew Prayers will be recited by Jimmie Houchin.
