Linda Jeanette McNeese, 75, of Oakton, Virginia, passed away on February 10, 2017 in Oakton, Virginia. Linda was born on September 19, 1941 to Marvin Edwin Spillers and Vernell Louise (Huffaker) Spillers.
Linda was a 1959 graduate of Van Alstyne High School. She was married to Bobby Jack McNeese on September 4, 1959 in Van Alstyne and from this union came two children. She graduated from nursing school in 1972 then began her 42 year career as registered nurse. She was a member of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority and also the Red Hat Society. She was also a long time member of the Richardson East Church of Christ.
Linda loved antiques and even ran an antique shop for some time. She also enjoyed reading and gardening but more than anything else, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Carrie McNeese and husband Daniel Stewart of Oakton, VA; son, Michael McNeese and wife Kasie of Prosper, TX; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Stewart of Oakton, VA and Garrett McNeese of Prosper, TX; sister, Betty Fletcher of Van Alstyne, TX; brother, Gary Spillers and wife Edna of Van Alstyne, TX and sister Deborah Goracke of McKinney, TX, as well as other nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bobby Jack McNeese in 2009 and brother, Bobby Edwin Spillers.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, TX. Burial will follow at Van Alstyne Cemetery. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 6-8 p.m.
