Linda Faye Raines McComber, age 76, of Denton, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025. She was born on July 7, 1948, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to Jack Walter Raines and Ethel Violet Raines. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Linda graduated from Muskogee High School in 1966, and earned a degree in Early Childhood Education in 1970, from Northeastern State University in Oklahoma. Beloved by coworkers and students, she taught at Hilldale Elementary School in Muskogee, Oklahoma, until she retired.
Linda is survived by her three children and their spouses: Adam and Shannon McComber, of The Colony, TX, Steven and Amy Norton, of Suwanee, GA, and Matthew and Randi McComber, of Jerusalem, Israel, her seven granddaughters, Analise, Allie, Claire, Kenley, Maren, Ashlyn, and Brenna, her grandson, Cale, and her sister, Frances Clelland, of Joplin, MO. She was predeceased by her parents and her loving husband, Doyce McComber. She leaves behind a legacy of faith as all of her children and grandchildren are serving the Lord. She also leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and generosity.
Linda’s life was a testimony of the goodness of God. She saw His faithfulness in her life repeatedly throughout her 76 years. She was healed of cancer twice. She was miraculously healed of covid. She witnessed miracles over and over again, and she boldly shared her faith with others. We thank God for the life that she lived and for the lessons that she taught us. And we thank God for the hope we have of seeing her again.
A small graveside service will be held at Ridgeview West Memorial Park, 7800 Sanctuary Drive, Frisco, Texas 75033, on Friday, April 11, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM.
