Linda Diane Mahard of Whitesboro, Texas passed away March 12, 2023 at the age of 64. She was born on May 26, 1958 to Gerald Dickson Railsback and Peggy Joyce (Davis) Railsback in Randall County, Texas. Linda was a graduate of North Texas State University in Denton, Texas. She married Ernest Andy Mahard, III on October 29, 1983 in Happy, Texas. Linda was known to have a sports game on the television at all times, the Cowboys, Mavs, Rangers, Texas Tech, TCU and Texas A&M were her preferred teams, however you could always count on ESPN playing in the background no matter the team, or the sport. Linda most loved hosting family and friends, especially during the holiday season. With attention to every detail, a fridge always stocked with any and all beverage, snacks for all ages, elegant displays, and elaborate themes with a Linda touch, she made anyone in her home feel welcome and celebrated. She treasured her family. Her favorite pastime, when not hosting, or watching sports was relaxing on the beach or by the pool with a book in her hand, and was recognized by her signature tanned glowing skin. Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved her.
Linda is survived by her beloved husband of 39 years, Andy Mahard of Whitesboro, Texas; daughters, Kaitlin Mahard of Prosper, Texas, Shelby Lovejoy and husband, Ryan of Watsonville, California, and Blair Love and husband, Lucas of Sulphur, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Rhett Lovejoy and Asa Love; father, Dick Railsback of Amarillo, Texas; sister, Brenda Keener of Prosper, Texas; brother, Scott Railsback of Wylie, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Railsback and sister, Sandy Finlayson.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
