Lillie Faye Kennedy Hill

Lillie Faye Kennedy Hill went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 25, 2020.  She was surrounded by her loving family.  She was a former member of Preston Highlands Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas for over 40 years.  During those years, she served in the Children’s Department.  Her passion was teaching little ones from age nursery thru preschool about Jesus.  She served as a Deacon’s wife and was the church clerk for many years.  Faye was a homemaker and she loved taking care of her family.  God, family, and church were her life.  She worked at Texas AgriLife Research and Extension Center, retiring in 2013 after 29 years of service.  After retiring, Faye moved to Crowley, Louisiana to live with her daughter, Judy Faulk and her family.  There she joined the First Baptist Church of Crowley with Dr. Cullen Clark as pastor. She became an active member of the Soul Sisters Sunday School Class.  In January 2020, Faye moved back to Texas to live with daughters, Jackie and Melissa.

Faye is survived by her daughters, Judy Faulk and husband, Joel of Crowley, Louisiana, Jackie Heistand, Melissa Kelly and husband, Kris of Plano, Texas; grandchildren; Autumn Zelaya, Josh Faulk and wife Heidi, Justin Heistand, Brandon Heistand and Kerri Tran, Katie Ludlow and husband Jerad, Kassidy Kelly, Jack Kelly,  and Emily Kelly; great grandchildren, Micah Faulk, Estela Zelaya, Declan Heistand, and Ridley Faulk; sister, Lynda Thomas; and brother, Jimmy Kennedy.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Hill of Plano, Texas; parents, Ruby and Evalou Kennedy; brothers, Bill Kennedy, Frankie Kennedy, and Troy Kennedy; devoted sister, Doris Hill; precious niece, Marsha Kennedy; and baby grand daughter, Kirsten Leanne Heistand.

If there ever comes a day where we can’t be together, keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever.

In support of our local, state, and federal govt including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only a limited number of invited guests will be allowed to attend the Funeral Service.

The service will also be live streamed on Friday, May 29, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. on the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Facebook page and a recorded video will be available following the funeral service on Lillie’s obituary page.

However, those who would like to honor Lillie and show their support to her family may come to the funeral home where ample parking is available. While you remain in your vehicle, you may watch the live streamed service on your personal device (laptop, tablet or smartphone) or listen through a designated FM radio channel.
