Lillie Pearl Darland, age 85, of Pilot Point, Texas passed away Monday, January 29, 2007 in Pilot Point. She was born October 16, 1921 to Finnis and Clara (Hughes) Rutledge. Mrs. Darland was a seamstress. She is survived by her children, George Darland of Princeton, Texas and Billy Joe Darland and his wife Anna Belle of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, George Ray Darland, Jr., and Stacey Rawe; great grandchildren, August and Autumn Amlick and, Andie Marie and Samantha Rawe; brothers, Leon Rutledge and his wife Imogene and, Eugene Rutledge; sisters, Winnie Owen, Annie Bell Stevens and her husband Ralph and, Irene Oflinger; and numerous nieces, nephews and, other loving family and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents; sisters, Minnie Wilson and Katherine Shaw; and brother, Willie Earl Rutledge. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 1, 2007 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Wednesday to pay their respects or to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday evening from 6 - 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
