Lillian Staten Cannon Queen, age 84, of Frisco, Texas passed away on June 1, 2011. She was born on September 22, 1926 in Charlotte, North Carolina to Virginia Hamilton (Staten) and Ernest Rhyne Cannon. Lillian was a Case Worker for the Welfare Department of Franklin County, Ohio. She was a member of The National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in the State of North Carolina and Ladies Auxiliary Member of the Whitehall Post #8794 VFW and a true basketball Tar Heels Fan and Ohio State Buckeye Football Fan. Lillian is survived by her four children, John Lawrence Wolfe and his wife, Vicki of Clera, Alabama, Lillian “Candy’ Cannon Jones-Tate and husband, Ernie of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Mary Pinckney Williams and her husband, Gary of Alpharetta, Georgia, and Ginny Queen and partner, Mercedes Boutchyard of Little Elm, Texas; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Ernest Rhyne Cannon, Jr. and wife, Charlotte of Charlotte, North Carolina; two nephews, Ernest Rhyne Cannon III and Scott Cannon and close friends, Teresa Hillis and Theresa Kaylor both of Columbus, Ohio. Lillian is preceded in death by her son, Hillard Hudson Wolfe and parents. A Memorial Service will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Frisco at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 11, 2011 with Pastor Mary Ann Mundy officiating.
