Joe Acosta, age 16, of Princeton, Texas, passed away October 26, 2012. Lil’ Joe was born September 24, 1996, in McKinney, Texas, to Joe Acosta and Teresa Hernandez Rodriguez. He was a student at Princeton High School where he played soccer and was a member of the TFC soccer club. Lil’ Joe was an avid fan of Batman.

He is survived by his parents, Teresa and Jesus Rodriguez of Princeton, Texas; father, Joe Acosta of Dallas, Texas; brothers, Bryan Acosta of Princeton, Texas, Nicholas Moses Acosta and Stephen Marcus Acosta; sister, Mercedes Rodriguez, also of Princeton; grandparents, Steve and Mary Hernandez of McKinney, Texas and Ramon and Elva Rodriguez of Greenville, Texas; grandmother, Christina Martinez; uncles, Martin Hernandez and wife, Norma of McKinney, Texas, Frankie Hernandez, also of McKinney, and Ramon Rodriguez and wife, Ashley of Greenville, Texas; aunts, Elizabeth Rodriguez of Seagoville, Texas, Olie Gonzalez of McKinney, Texas, Linda Luna, and Carmen Araiza; and cousins, Vivian Villarreal, Natasha Hernandez, Ariel Hernandez, Bryanna Hernandez, Joe Angel Luna, Drizella Rodriguez, Phoenix Rodriguez, and Palin Rodriguez.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Damian Jesus Rodriguez.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 1, 2012, at First Baptist Church McKinney, 1615 W. Louisiana St., McKinney, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., Wednesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen.
