Mrs. Libby Jean (Moore) Banasek, age 84, of Murphy, Texas passed away January 4, 2008 in Richardson, Texas. She was born February 1, 1923 in McKinney, Texas to Lilbron and Bertha Leona (Scott) Moore. In the early 1940’s she held the title of Miss Collin County and Miss East Texas. She was a homemaker who raised three boys in a military family and earned three floral arranging certifications from the University of Tokyo. Libby married Chester J. Banasek on February 10, 1987, in Waco, Texas. Mrs. Banasek worked in Collin and Dallas Counties as a Real Estate Broker for more than 20 years. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Chester J. Banasek of Richardson, Texas; sons, Randy Norwood and his wife, Sandra of Murphy, Texas, Ronny Norwood and wife, Pam of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Jack Norwood and wife, Pat of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, brother and 2 grandchildren. Private graveside services will be held at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday afternoon from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
