Leta Fern Claunch, age 78, of Allen, Texas passed away July 29, 2012. She was born July 4, 1934 in Minco, Oklahoma to Willis Wesley Smithey and Fae Ola West Smithey. On October 3, 1953 she married Bob Claunch in Denver, Colorado. Leta grew up in California, where she graduated from Arvin High School. She worked as a systems technician at McClellan Air Force Base in California for twelve years. Leta enjoyed bowling and participating in fishing tournaments.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Claunch; children, Pamela Reneé Tarrant and husband, Jim of Yuba City, California, Debra Faye Beltran and husband, Tim of Sacramento, California, Diana Kay Holloway and husband, Hal of Allen, Texas, Robert Steven Claunch and wife, Linda of Bolivar, Missouri; grandchildren, Jamie Tarrant and wife, Sherry, Jennifer Tarrant Prager and husband, Patrick, Brandy Johnson and husband, Don, Vincent Beltran, Trenton Holloway and wife, Sara, Ryan Holloway, Trey Holloway, Robert Claunch, Chris Claunch, Heather Stephens and husband, Josh; great-grandchildren, Landon Tarrant, Bodhin Tarrant Weber, Everest Tarrant Prager, Andrea Johnson, Anthony Beltran, Zilas Beltran, Makenzie Beltran, Blake Claunch, and Aleya Watkins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Fae Smithey.
