Leslye Dawn Faulkner of McKinney, Texas passed away October 28, 2022 at the age of 49 in her home in McKinney, Texas of natural causes. She was born on August 11, 1973 to Richard Darrell Lemmons and Janice (Rhodes) Lemmons in Dallas, Texas. Leslye grew up in Garland, Texas, where she graduated from Lakeview Centennial High School in Garland, Texas, in 1991. She graduated from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, with a bachelor’s in business management in 1995, during this time she was an active member of Gamma Phi Beta, Beta Tau chapter where she formed lifelong friendships.
Leslye married the late Brandon Edward Faulkner, Sr. on December 4, 1999 in Rowlett, Texas and they enjoyed 21 years of marriage before his passing in 2021. She gave birth to her daughter, Rilye Faulkner in 2000 and her son, Brandon (Boo) Faulkner, Jr in 2002, both born in Dallas at Baylor, motherhood was Leslye’s greatest passion. She started her career with New Line Cinema. In 2008, Leslye began working for Cinemark as a film buying assistant and quickly became a film buyer. She spent the remainder of her career employed with Cinemark. Leslye valued creativity; she spent most days creating memories and art. Leslye loved puzzles, Texas true crime stories and cooking for those she loved. She most loved spending time with her friends and family, as well her beloved dogs Cooper, Hope, and Poh. Leslye valued true friendship above all else and held many relationships for decades.
She is survived by her daughter, Rilye Faulkner and partner, Logan King of McKinney, Texas; son, Brandon Faulkner, Jr. of McKinney, Texas; parents, Richard and Janice Lemmons; brother, Jeffrey Lemmons and partner, Carlos Rojas; Beverly Curtis and husband, Don of Kemp, Texas and John Faulkner and wife, Peggy of Austin, Texas; Sean Faulkner and husband, Trae Schafer of Dallas, Texas; Andy Faulkner and wife, Cassandra of Prosper, Texas, Bradley Faulkner and Rebecca Faulkner, both of Austin, Texas; niece, Briana Carson and husband, Chandler; and a host of other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Brandon Faulkner as well as grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
