Leslie Eugene Ellenburg, 67, passed away peacefully with his loving wife Susie by his side on March 4, 2021 from complications associated with late-stage pancreatic cancer. Les was born on August 1, 1953 in Farmersville, Texas. He served our country proudly for 6 years in the United States Navy on the USS Saratoga until 1976. Throughout his life, never knowing a stranger, Les was a kind and gentle man always thinking of the needs of others. In addition to his kind nature, he loved fishing, the outdoors and visiting with friends. A devoted husband, father, son and brother and Grampy, he will be greatly missed by many.
Les is survived by his wife, Susan Ellenburg and two sons, Brian and Travis, and Daughter Klaire Taylor, Granddaughter Kaitlin Taylor along with two brothers, Danny Boone and Rick Long and a sister, Lorrie Tate. He is proceeded in death by his mother, Peggy Compton Long and father, Paul Ellenburg.
A graveside service to celebrate Leslie’s life will be held on March 9, 2021 at 10:30 am at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery located on FM 2756 in Climax, Texas. A visitation will be held 1 Hour Prior at Hurst’s Fielder-Baker Funeral Home in Farmersville, Tx.
