Leslie Rodgers Ingendorf, age 65, went to be with her Lord Thursday, January 25, 2024. Her final moments were spent surrounded by loved ones.
She was born January 20, 1959, in Dallas, Texas to Doug and Doris Rodgers. She spent her childhood in Oak Cliff and worked many trades before going to work for her dad in his produce business located in the heart of the Dallas Farmers Market. This is where she met the love of her life, Jim Ingendorf, and they were married on February 14, 1992.
Her infectious personality created many lifelong friendships and those who were lucky to know her, knew her as family. She and Jim loved to entertain at their home in Dallas and their lake house at Eagle Mountain Lake. Together, they hosted many extravagant parties for all types of occasions: 4th of July, Birthdays, Osso Bucco nights and many more. Both homes were always filled with joy and laughter from the people who filled it. Leslie helped create a home away from home to many people and became a second mom to many of her son’s close friends. Leslie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend and even basketball coach for her son, J.D.
In her spare time, Leslie enjoyed a little retail therapy and made a career out of shopping by successfully starting a promotional products company. She especially loved Christmas and shopping for her loved ones and was always able to find the perfect gift for any individual. Most special occasions called for personalized shirts for everyone to wear, which many of her close friends will remember forever.
Leslie is survived by her loving husband, Jim, children, J.D. and fiancé Maddie, Paul and Jennifer, Lea Anne and grandchildren, Nathaniel and Christopher.
Celebration of Life details will be posted on social media in the following weeks.
