Leslie Raymond "Ray" Metcalf, II

Leslie Raymond “Ray” Metcalf, II of Houston, Texas passed away May 6, 2016, at the age of 67.  He was born August 1, 1948, to Leslie Raymond Metcalf and Marjorie Nell (Houston) Metcalf in Houston, Texas.  Ray grew up in Houston and graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1966.  He earned a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Houston. Ray married Lorelie Miller on May 24, 1987, in Irving, Texas.  He was a regional manager for Flowserve for thirty-four years until his retirement.  Ray loved to tell stories and share his great sense of humor. He enjoyed model cars, flying, and riding motorcycles.  

Ray is survived by his wife, Lorelie Metcalf of Plano, Texas; children, Ray Metcalf and wife Karen of Wylie, Texas, Lori Stuart and husband Donovan of Allen, Texas, Leilani Morris and husband Mark of  Bryant, Arkansas and Eric Miller of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Michael Metcalf, Jonathan Metcalf, Mikaela Johnson, Javon Johnson, Devyn Stuart, and Madison Morris; sister, Carolyn Ohls and husband Larry of Austin, Texas and Margie Wimberly and husband Jim of Austin, Texas; nephews, Preston Wimberly, Jackson Wimberly, Paul Ohls, and Ryan Ohls; niece, Lindsey Ohls; and a host of other loving family and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.  Interment is to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.  The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
