Leslie M. Bartlett

Leslie Bartlett of McKinney, Texas passed away on April 16, 2016 at the age of 91.  He was born on October 18, 1924 to Floyd W. & Margaret (Ennis) Bartlett in Marshalltown, Iowa.  Leslie married Lorraine Ellis on February 5, 1949 in Marshalltown, Iowa.  He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII on the USS Shipley Bay.  Leslie was an Inventory Analyst at Fisher Controls in McKinney, Texas for 45 years. He was President of Kiwanis McKinney Chapter; an Explorer scout leader with the Order of the Arrow for Boys Scouts of America; and the president of APICS, the American Production Inventory Control Specialist.  Leslie was active in the Red Cross and a member of the Audubon Society.  He was an officer in the Key Club of McKinney and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Leslie was a volunteer for the meals on wheels. He was of the Methodist faith.

Leslie is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Lorraine Bartlett of McKinney, Texas; daughters, Rene Lynch and husband James of Chaska, Minnesota, Jill Arnsdorff and husband Ed of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, and Kimberly Speck and husband Tony of Allen, Texas; son, Guy Bartlett and wife Norma of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Christopher Lynch and wife Susan, Jefferson Lynch and wife Monica, Stacy Alderson, Shannon Alderson, Nicholas Foster and Jordan Foster; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous other loving family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 14, 2016 at First United Methodist Church, 315 N. Church St., McKinney, Texas 75069.  A reception will follow at the church.
