Leslie Carol Schultz was born July 22, 1931 in Medford, Oregon to Olle Keller Ainsworth and Donna (Strickland) Sandquist. She passed away on August 16, 2021 in Frisco, Texas at the age of 90 years.
After graduating from Grants Pass High School, Leslie attended Pasadena City College on an art scholarship. Longing for adventure, Leslie then began a new career as a flight attendant with Trans World Airlines (TWA). For 13 years, she enjoyed many adventures traveling all over the country and throughout the world. Based in San Francisco, she loved all that the Bay Area had to offer “back in the day”.
It was in Palo Alto in 1967, that she met the love of her life, Don Schultz. They were married there in 1968. Soon after, they were transferred through Don’s work to Dayton, Ohio, where they welcomed their daughter Lisa into the world. Leslie’s greatest joy was being a mother to Lisa and a devoted homemaker. Leslie’s love of gardening created beautiful vistas on the outside of her home and her love of cooking made for wonderful experiences within. Over the following years they lived in San Jose, California, Houston, Texas, Sun City West, Arizona and finally made their way to Frisco, Texas to live near their daughter and son in law and enjoy time with their two grandsons.
Leslie is survived by her loving husband, Don Schultz, of Frisco Texas; daughter Lisa Hutchinson and husband, Chuck of Frisco; grandchildren, Grant Hutchinson and Garrett Hutchinson, both of Frisco; and nieces Patti White of Happy Camp, California and Sue Washburn of La Grande, Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather, Walter Sandquist, and her brother, Kenneth Ainsworth.
The family will be observing a small gathering at Lisa’s home to celebrate the beautiful life of such a loving wife, mother, and friend to everyone she met.
