Les Simmons of Randolph, Texas passed away on September 16, 2017 at the age of 73. He was born on January 23, 1944 to William Lewis Simmons and Bessie Clementine Gayler Simmons in Lubbock, Texas. Les married Dolores Mugg on June 6, 1964 in Lubbock, Texas. He obtained his Associates Degree from Texas Tech University. Les worked in the automotive industry in Dallas where he worked for Doran, Bankston and Huffines dealerships as General Manager, retiring in 2003. After his retirement, Les was a volunteer fireman in Randolph, Texas. He was of the Baptist faith.
Les is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Dolores Simmons of Randolph, Texas; daughter, Shelly and Arnold Redding of Randolph and LaRue, Texas; brothers, Bill Simmons of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Syd Simmons of Lubbock, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Tommy Simmons.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
