Leron Jude Smith went home to be with the Lord on August 6, 2021 in Frisco, Texas at the age of 38. He was born in November 11, 1982 to Illona C. Smith and Raymond V. Roy in New Orleans, Louisiana. Leron was a graduate of the Class of 2000 from McDonogh #35 Senior High School in New Orleans. He received his bachelor’s degree from The University of North Texas in Denton and his master’s degree from The University of Phoenix in Dallas. On July 24, 2004, he married Aleysha Gallin in New Orleans, Louisiana. During his childhood, he attended Greater St. Stephen Full Gospel Baptist Church in New Orleans. After marrying his wife, Leron became a longtime member of Household of Faith Family Worship Church International in New Orleans until Hurricane Katrina relocated, he and his young family to the Dallas area in 2005. Leron’s final church home with his family was One Community Church in Plano, Texas. Leron was an amazing husband, a devoted father, loving son and brother and a friend to many. His loss has had a tremendous impact on many and he will be dearly missed.
Leron is survived by his wife, Aleysha Smith of Frisco, Texas; his five beautiful daughters: Leyla, Kya, Kiara, Anaiah and Ava; his mother, Illona C. Smith of Desoto, Texas; his sister, Melita A. Smith of Desoto, Texas; his father and mother-in-law, Lynel and Teresa Tucker of Corinth, Texas; his sister-in-law, Anisha Gallin of Atlanta, Georgia and many other loving family and friends.
The family will receive guests at a visitation from Wednesday evening, August 25, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
A memorial service will be held promptly at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 26, 2021 at One Community Church, Plano Campus, 2400 SH-121, Plano, Texas 75025.
