Leon “Lee” Marcellus Frilot of Forney, Texas passed away on October 30, 2019 at the age of 70. He was born on June 27, 1949 to John Paul Serice and Catherine Pearl Frilot in New Orleans, Louisiana. Lee served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. He had a career as a computer programmer in the IT industry. Lee married Suzanne Duncan on March 20, 1999 in Grapevine, Texas. He enjoyed traveling, riding trains, model railroading, was proud he learned to fly a plane and obtained his private pilot license. Lee also enjoyed accordion music and learned to play at an early age. He would challenge anyone to a game of pool and was difficult to beat. But most of all, he was proud to be a grandpa!
He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Frilot of Forney, Texas; stepsons, Jason O’Neill and wife, Kasha of Forney, Texas, Carson O’Neill and wife, Samantha of Forney, Texas, and Andrew O’Neill and wife, Jessica of Rogers, Arkansas; grandchildren, Peyton O’Neill, Hayden O’Neill, Calan O’Neill, Cash O’Neill, Caden O’Neill, Masden O’Neill, Benton O’Neill, Jase O’Neill, Davis O’Neill, and Townes O’Neill; sisters, Brenda Rau of Chino, California and Linda Ward and husband, Dan of Cypress, California; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Saturday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial graveside service will be held at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date.
