Mrs. Lenarda Alice Johnson, age 100, of McKinney, Texas passed away March 28, 2008. She was born January 18, 1908, in Gaines, Pennsylvania to Solan and Nina Ethel (Furman) Dewey. She married Vincent Norman Johnson in Hot Springs, South Dakota on June 9, 1938. Lenarda spent most of her career teaching in Northeastern, Wyoming, Torrington, Wyoming and Cheyenne, Wyoming. Prior to moving to Texas to be closer to her children, Lenarda resided in Centerville, Utah. She was an Eastern Star and of the Methodist faith. Lenarda is survived by her son, Wayne Johnson and wife, Carolyn of Fairview, Texas; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two sons, Dean Wilson Johnson and Richard Keith Johnson. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 3, 2008, at the Colonial Lodge Retirement Inn with Chaplain Robert Scott officiating.
