Lena was born on March 9, 1929 in Hoffman, OK to John and Mary Hatfield. The family moved to Lefors, TX when she was young. She attended school in Lefors, and graduated from Lefors High School in 1947. She married Leonard Cain on October 31, 1947, and they just celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary. They resided in Lefors until 1995, at which time they moved to Borger, TX. In 2002 they moved to Angleton, TX. At the time of her death they were residing in Plano, TX. Lena was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lefors, TX. She had belonged to the Lefors Art and Civic Club, the Borger American Legion, and the Borger VFW. Lena enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren as they were growing up, and watching them participate in various sports. She thoroughly enjoyed watching her great-grandchildren when they could visit her. Lena was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Hatfield. She is survived by her husband, Leonard Cain, of Plano. She is survived by her children, Sandra and Val Tarbet of Plano, TX, Susan and Fred Lowder of Katy, TX, and Daryl Cain of Coppell, TX. She is survived by her grandchildren, Donald and Paige Lowder of Fuquay-Varina, NC, David and Ami Lowder of Amarillo, TX, D’Ann and Zach Craddock of Channing, TX, Amy Tarbet of Houston, TX, Daniel Tarbet of Lubbock, TX, Dustin Cain of Coppell, TX and Danielle Cain of Coppell, TX. She is survived by six great-grandchildren, Seth Hanifin of Fritch, TX, Hannah Lowder of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Kaitlyn and Kynley Craddock of Channing, TX, and Taylor and Brayden Lowder of Amarillo, TX. She is also survived by a sister, Colleen Dunn of Big Spring, TX. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Donald Lowder, David Lowder, Zach Craddock, Daniel Tarbet, Dustin Cain, and Seth Hanifin. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Michael Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Saturday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas Memorials may be made to Cal Farley’s, P.O. Box 1890, Amarillo, Texas 79174.
