Lee Roy Harris

June 14, 1931 - April 24, 2022

Lee Roy Harris passed away April 24, 2022 in Olivette, Missouri at the age of 90. He was born to Bennie and Frances (Rushing) Harris on June 14, 1931 in Ofahoma, Mississippi.

Lee married Daisy Mae Trammell in St. Louis, Missouri on March 25, 1962. Lee was also the father of two children from a previous marriage. He worked for the International Shoe Company for 32 years. Lee served in the United States Army, earning a Purple Heart during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Sanctified Church in McKinney, Texas.

Lee is survived by his daughter, V. Shane Mondaine of St. Louis, Missouri; grandchildren, Clint Stegall, Gerrod Mondaine, Lency Harris Jr., and Franzesca Harris; eight great grandchildren, and a host of other loving family including nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie and Frances Harris, wife, Daisy Mae Harris, son, Lency Harris, grandson, Dakota Harris, brothers, Owen, John, Bennet and Joe Willy Harris, and sister, Virginia Branson.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 to pay their respects and to sign the register book. Interment will be held at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas at 1:30 p.m., following the service.
