IN LOVING MEMORY

Lee Thompson, Jr.

Aug 14 1944 - Feb 16 2026

Lee “Tommy” Thompson, Jr. age 81, of The Colony, Texas passed away on February 16, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born on August 14, 1944, the only son and youngest of four to Elizabeth (Butts) and Lee Thompson in Ashland, Ohio. On September 2, 1967, Lee married Joyce in El Paso, Texas. They lived and loved together for 58 years, raising two children. He was an entrepreneur, owning multiple successful businesses. When he wasn’t working, you could find him on his tractor at the farm. Lee loved to “play in the dirt”.  He never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew him. His strength of character is demonstrated not only by the family he leaves behind, but also in his quiet faith in Christ.

Lee is survived by his wife, Joyce A. Thompson of The Colony, Texas; daughter, Wendy Emminizer and husband Wayne of The Colony, Texas; son, Jason Thompson and wife, Erica of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Kathryne Thompson and Zachary Emminizer; three sisters, Tammy Bearden, Carol Kerneck, and Betsy Morris.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved mother-in-law, Mimi.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at the Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire Drive, Frisco, Texas 75033, beginning at 12:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations please be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
