IN LOVING MEMORY

Lee Nagel

Oct 10 1968 - Jun 12 2024

Lee Michel Nagel peacefully passed away on June 12, 2024 at her home in Frisco, Texas, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Gulfport, Mississippi on October 10, 1968.

Lee is predeceased by her parents, Leland and Janet Fisher, and father-in-law Corky Nagel.  She is survived by her husband, Steve; children, Sara and Drew; brother-in-law, David Nagel; sister-in-law, Aimee Nagel, and mother-in-law, Beverly Nagel.

Lee grew up in Harlingen, Texas, and was a graduate of UT Dallas with a Business Degree.  She worked at an oil and gas company, Degolyer and MacNaughton, before returning to school to earn her teaching degree, and teaching 4th grade at Anne Frank Elementary.  Above all, Lee was most proud of her role as a loving mother and a wife of 25 years.

She loved attending all sports activities, supporting her kids’ hobbies and passions, and always being their biggest fan and cheerleader.  Hosting family and friends at her home or on trips was always valued, and Lee set the standard for gracious hospitality.

Selfless and kind, Lee channeled her personal battles with cancer into a platform to improve the lives of cancer survivors and those affected by cancer.  She developed and led several philanthropic endeavors and started a family Foundation that raised significant funding for research, advocacy and support in this critical fight.  Additionally, Lee was a member of the National Charity League, and along with her husband, Steve, established an endowment at High Point University for families in need.  Giving back to others—whether family, friends, or simply those in need—will always define Lee’s most enduring legacy.

Services will be held in her honor at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. Following the service, there will be a celebration of life at the Nagel House:
