Leah Rae Bouldin of McKinney, Texas passed away February 16, 2026, she would be 89 later in the year.
Leah was born in 1937, in Denison, Texas, to Charles and Gladys. She was born and raised in Denison and graduated from Denison High School in the 50’s.
In true small-town fashion, Leah met the love of her life, Roy Bouldin, when he drove by in his light blue Chevy convertible. She noticed the dashing Air Force Lieutenant and set her mind to meet the officer soon! Leah and Roy were married in the late 50’s and together built a life centered on faith, family, and devotion. They were blessed with two children, Jennifer and Patrick.
As a military wife, Leah lived overseas and in several states across the U.S. while Roy was stationed on active duty. After Roy’s retirement, the couple returned to Denison, where they continued building their life together. Leah worked in public accounting before beginning a successful career as a realtor.
Leah served as president of the Women’s Council of Realtors of Grayson County. She was a gifted homemaker and found joy in sewing beautiful clothes for her family and preparing meals that brought everyone together. She will long be remembered for her roast and dumplings and for making what many considered the very best pecan pie!
She especially treasured her role as “Gran”, Leah delighted in taking her grandchildren to activities, particularly around the pool, and she never missed an opportunity to cheer them on at their sports events. She and Roy also enjoyed playing bridge with dear friends. She and Roy faithfully served others through Meals on Wheels organization.
Leah had been a devoted member of First United Methodist Church of McKinney, where she continued her lifelong commitment to faith and service.
