Lawrence Alan Levine of McKinney, Texas passed away on August 22, 2021 at the age of 48. He was born on April 25, 1973 to Steven Jon & Linda Jane (Silberman) Levine in Manhattan, New York. Lawrence graduated from New Rochelle High School in 1991. He attended Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. Lawrence married Van Anne Vo on October 1, 2004 in Long Beach, California and had a daughter. He served as a volunteer firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician in Mamaroneck, NY. After moving to Texas, he became involved with the TEXSAR: Texas Search and Rescue. Lawrence’s wonderful sense of humor was evident when speaking with him and in his creative and skillful writing. He enjoyed politics and did not hesitate to contact public officials to make suggestions about their pronouncements and public policy. Lawrence was an accomplished painter and a sculptor in metal and was proficient in theatre lighting and sound design. Lawrence played piano and keyboard. He loved animals and was a kind and caring friend. He loved to help those in need and would do so without question. Most of all, he loved spending quality time with his daughter.
Lawrence is survived by his wife, Van Anne Levine of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Rebecca Linh Hannah Levine of McKinney, Texas; parents, Steven and Linda Levine of New Rochelle, New York; aunt, Susan Levine of San Rafael, California; sister-in-law, Tiffany Vasquez and husband, Alex of McKinney, Texas; brothers-in-law, Paul Vo and wife, Mai of Oceanside, California and Philip Vo of Camarillo, California; 2 nieces; 4 nephews and 1 great-niece.
