Laurie Gayle (Edgar) Hallmark passed away in Rowlett on September 6, 2021 at the age of 62. She was born in Greenville, Texas on April 2, 1959 to James Coil Edgar and Janet (Stroup) Edgar.

Laurie was a graduate of Farmersville High School Class of 1977. Laurie worked 43 years as Senior Quality Inspector at Rockwell Collins in Richardson, Texas where she met Bob Hallmark and later married him on May 20, 1989 in Rowlett, Texas. Laurie retired from Rockwell Collins April 30, 2021. Laurie acquired numerous friends throughout her life. She never met anyone she couldn’t strike up some kind of conversation with. Laurie loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

If Laurie wasn’t baking or cooking, she was camping with Kathy and Randy at their lake house on Lake Fork, which she loved. Laurie loved the Texas Rangers and Washington Redskins. She loved eating her sonic ice and lounging in her nightgown while watching the Hallmark channel or food network. Her newfound love was Netflix. She loved her dogs Izzie and Bevo.

She is survived by her loving husband Bob Hallmark of Rowlett, Texas her daughters, Adriane Addington and husband Bryan of Farmersville, Texas, Mindy Doan of Merit, Texas and Chelsey Doan and husband Adam Garrison of Rowlett, Texas, stepchildren, Jody Parades and husband Mundo of Garland, Texas and Justin Hallmark of Wylie, Texas. Laurie is also survived by her grandchildren Jordan Buford, Sydnee Addington, Madysen Addington, Kade Garrison, Aubrey Garrison, Andrew Parades, and Audrey Parades. Great grandchildren Dawsyn, Conley and Cohen Eaves and sister, Kathy Glasscock and husband Randy of Farmersville, Texas.

Laurie is preceded in death by her parents, and brother Rodney Edgar. A visitation will be held at Hurst’s Fielder-Baker Funeral Home on Sunday, September 12, 2021 from 6-8pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 10:00AM. Burial to follow the service at I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Mindy Doan, Randy Glasscock, Jon Glasscock, Jacob Eaves, Justin Hallmark, and Mundo Parades.

Honorary Pallbearers: Rod Deaton, Bryan Addington, Adam Garrison, Kade Garrison, Ryan Glasscock, Jarret Linton, Jaxon Linton and Cody Grantham.
