Lauren Marie King of Chandler, Arizona passed away in McKinney, Texas on March 16, 2021 at age 33.  She was born on July 29, 1987 to George W. and Valerie T. (Yancey) King in Dallas, Texas. Lauren attended the University of North Texas. She had a passion for design, photography and art. She was most passionate about her daughter, Madden, and enjoyed coaching her soccer teams.

Lauren is survived by her daughter, Madden Pearl King of Chandler, Arizona; mother, Valerie King of McKinney, Texas; father, George W. King of Chandler, Arizona; sisters, Felicia Danielle Travis and husband, Ryan of McKinney, Texas (currently serving in the Navy in Japan), Rachel Deanne King of Chandler, Arizona; uncles, Timothy Michael King and wife, Barbara of Austin, Texas, Joseph Leroy Yancey and wife, Constance of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Michael Yancey of Arlington, Virginia, Karl Anthony Yancey and wife, Rene of Riverside, California; aunt, Angela Chinn Yancey of Upper Marlboro, Maryland; grandparents, Josephine Jackson and husband, Theartic Jackson of Plano, Texas, George D. King of Chandler, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Robert W. Yancey, Sr. and Theodore King; uncle, Dr. Robert W. Yancey; grandmother, Hattie Pearl King and aunt, Barbara Yancey.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas.
