Lauren grew up in Glastonbury, Connecticut loving the snowy winters. However, she was still excited for her family’s big move to Texas where she could run cross country and play lacrosse.
She loved playing lacrosse most of her life and even enjoyed a few years contributing her love of the sport by refereeing youth games.
Most recently Lauren attended the Collin College Nursing Program and was a NICU Nurse at Medical City Dallas. She was a proud and devoted nurse, classmate, and friend.
Lauren always enjoyed running for a hobby … any distance, but the longer the better in her view.
Lauren is survived by her parents, Caye and David Helsley, and her beloved brother David Helsley, Jr. of McKinney.
She leaves her grandfather, Dunbar Helsley, Sr. of Charleston, South Carolina and grandmother, Cheryl Conlin of Jackson Springs, North Carolina.
She is survived by her fraternal aunts and uncles, William and Joanne Helsley, Scot Helsley and David, Cleo & Owen Henkel.
Also survived by her maternal aunts and uncles, Marilyn and Clayton Conlin, Kevin and Lisa Conlin,
Shawn and Shannon Conlin, Spencer, Kelly and Taylor Quintin, Lori and Dee Bleckley, and Sean, Stacy, & Shannon Carroll.
Her spirit will live on with her many caring cousins who she often stated that she missed due to distance, amazing classmates, and caring coworkers and boyfriend.
